About Me

I’m from East Galway, having grown up in Corofin. I now live in Kiltullagh outside Loughrea with my wife Michelle. We have three children; the youngest of which is only a year old.

All my life I’ve been involved in local politics; and I’ve taken an active role in canvassing during four referendum campaigns but this is the first time that I’ve put my name forward for a general election. I believe my record shows I’ve a keen interest in equality of opportunity and I will fight for people.

I work full time managing a software development team in the FinTech industry. And I am a voluntary member of the board of the Irish Kidney Association. I am a dialysis patient. I am well known in Galway through my voluntary work promoting organ donation and as a patient advocate. I’m also involved with the Kiltullagh Community Alert, Galway Cycling Campaign, Killimordaly Camogie and Galway Rail Users Group.

I believe East Galway a beautiful place to raise a family, but this area has so much untapped potential, particularly in Tourism. I want to listen to you and understand how together we can improve our area, protect our environment, provide a healthy atmosphere for our children, fix our broken health system and create jobs locally.

Rural, Progressive, Green.
